For me, creativity isn't a hobby, but a way of life. Since 2014, I've been delving deeper into art and painting. Without formal art training, but with an insatiable desire to create, I've developed into a creator who completely trusts my own feelings, intuition, and perseverance.

I draw my inspiration primarily from nature and animals. The colors, shapes, and energy of the natural world form the foundation of my work. What drives me is a mind that never stands still; my ideas keep flowing and forms keep emerging. Creativity always seeks an outlet. For me, art is pure self-expression: a way to make my inner world visible.

All paintings are made entirely by hand. Most of my smaller creations and trinkets are also handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Each piece carries a piece of my energy within.

I want people to feel warmth and joy when they look at my work. My goal isn't just to create something beautiful, but something that conveys a feeling like softness, light, hope, love, or connection.

My journey hasn't been without its challenges. I've struggled with depression for years, live with a rheumatic condition and ADHD, and have often felt different from the world around me. It was precisely those experiences that deepened my creativity. Art became not an escape, but a foundation. A place where I truly belong.

At some point, I decided to quit my job to seriously pursue my dream: living entirely from creativity. Ilse's Arts and Trinkets is therefore more than just a webshop. It's an extension of my soul, my perseverance, and my desire to share beauty and warmth.
